In case you're counting
The latest statistics from Gaza:
Medics say 660 Palestinians, including 215 children and 98 women, have been killed in the Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip. This makes the percentage of non-combatants killed by Israel at least very close to 50%, and most likely well upwards of that.
I should add that, of the thousands already wounded, it is quite likely that dozens, if not hundreds, will die in coming days, given the status of medical care in Gaza. Which means that even were a ceasefire declared today (which, based on statements by Israel and the U.S. in today's Security Council debate, isn't remotely possible), the massacre would end with a Palestinian death toll probably close to a thousand.
