"Middle class" = "Working families" ≠ "Working class"
The other day I wrote:
Why do politicians always use the phrases "working families" and "middle class," but never "working class"?And Saturday along came Barack Obama to reinforce that question:
"Through 90 minutes of debate, John McCain had a lot to say about me, but he didn't have anything to say about you. He didn't even say the words 'middle class.' He didn't even say the words 'working people.'"And two words for sure that neither he nor Obama said: "working class." God forbid.
