Obama lays out his opposition to the invasion
Today:
The truth is, this [the cost of the war] is all part of the reason I opposed this war from the start. It’s why I said back in 2002 that it could lead to an occupation not just of undetermined length or undetermined consequences, but of undetermined costs. It’s why I’ve said this war should have never been authorized and never been waged.Yes, let's hear it for low-cost, fixed-length wars. Maybe some "pinpoint" bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities.
By the way, Obama isn't even consistent. He claims to be opposed to wars of undetermined length, undetermined consequences, and undetermined costs, but he wants to continue and escalate the war in Afghanistan, which has been going on longer, albeit at lower cost, than the one in Iraq.
