What the right hand giveth...
George Bush yesterday, taking credit for a bill he would have vetoed had it passed the Congress with a narrower margin and that he's opposed for seven years:
"Today we make a major step with the Energy Independence and Security Act. We make a major step toward reducing our dependence on oil, confronting global climate change, expanding the production of renewable fuels and giving future generations of our country a nation that is stronger, cleaner and more secure."George Bush's EPA, also yesterday:
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency blocked California's pioneering plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles Wednesday.Because George Bush's idea of "confronting global climate change" is very similar to the Democrats' concept of "confronting" Bush over the war in Iraq.
