Death in Palestine: just "routine"

This is what an Israeli army spokeswoman called "routine arrest activity" in the West Bank city of Ramallah, which "routinely" left four Palestinians dead and 25 wounded in its wake. Also "routinely," this operation occurred on the eve of a summit between Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak aimed at restarting stalled Israeli-Palestinian "peacemaking," something that, even with the quotes around it, is still opposed by certain forces within the Israeli government and military.

Here's a more detailed description of that "routine arrest activity":

Smoke rose over central Ramallah after Israeli armored vehicles and bulldozers, slamming aside parked cars near the main Manara Square, pushed into the city.
Just routine...in a land under occupation by a virtually unrestrained military.
