"Opposition" to the war
Paul Krugman has a column today about "those who warned against invading Iraq," and how they should be praised for "getting it right." But his choice of praisees makes for rather interesting reading. Because their pre-war statements all fell along the same lines. Some examples:
- Howard Dean - "[This is] the wrong war at the wrong time."
- Nancy Pelosi - "The liberation could be interminable and the amount of money it costs could be unlimited."
- Barack Obama - "What I am opposed to is a dumb war. What I am opposed to is a rash war."
